Andrew Yung co-founded the firm in 2001 when he departed Susman Godfrey LLP, the nation’s preeminent litigation boutique. Prior to his experience at Susman Godfrey LLP, Mr. Yung had resolved significant litigation and arbitration at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP.

Although we focus almost exclusively on complex civil litigation, we have fulfilled client requests to represent corporations and executives in investigations by the FBI or SEC, as well as corporate executives facing internal board investigations and class actions.

While defending cases, Andrew Yung has defeated three separate 9-figure lawsuits (two class actions and an intellectual property lawsuit) and countless other multimillion dollar disputes.
While representing plaintiffs, we secure large settlements for our clients prior to trial because of our reputation for professionalism, understanding of the facts, and ability to try cases to juries and arbitrators. In those unusual situations when defendants require us to go to trial to have a jury determine the value of our client’s claims, we have achieved verdicts and judgments collectively of over $100,000,000. In 2009, The American Lawyer reported that the firm secured one of the 30 largest verdicts in any Texas state or federal court.

Mr. Yung trained for a year as a judicial law clerk in the Eastern District of Texas (Beaumont 1995-1996), and clerked during his time at Harvard Law School both at the Department of Justice (Washington D.C. 1993) and the United States Attorney's Office (Boston 1994). Mr. Yung was a national recipient of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship in 1992.
Mr. Yung served as the previous Chair (two terms) of the Committee on Trade Secrets and Unfair Competition, State Bar of Texas Intellectual Property Section. He has been a speaker for the Advanced Intellectual Property Law Conference (Austin 2013) and is a published author on encryption (1997) as well as stock option backdating (2008).
